Most of our
posts talk about the recent trends and styles. But, this time we wanted to post
something different. This is when we came to know about the queries received
from our shoppers. Recently we got some queries regarding anarkali suits. Even
though it is trendy and could be seen in any woman’s closet, there are many
confusions that women have been keeping in mind lately. This is why we decided
to write a brief post that could answer some of the questions we came across.
What colours could be chosen for anarkali suit forwomen with dark complexion?
For the dark
beauties, it is always better to settle for warm shades including pastels.
Bright colours that could accentuate the skin tone could be chosen as well. You
may try adorning a pristine white suit with some bright red or orange contrast. This will neutralise the
effects of bright and will make you look subtle. Never wear dark colours like
black, gray, blue, brown or silver as they would make you look even more dark
and dull. Colours matching to the natural skin tone should be opted for.
Anarkali Suit |
I am short and petite, which makes me believe that
anarkali suits would not suit me. Is it true or can I look for some
alternative?
This is
definitely not true. You can wear one confidently but the only concern is that
you need to make wise choices. Never settle for amalgam of colours instead go
for single colour or at most two. Go for a moderate flare rather than 32 kalis.
The length should be kept below knees and not more than this. Wearing a full
flared suit in full length would make you look even more petite and short. You
can further elongate the neck by wearing V neck shirts. Dazzle the look with
some high heels and wedges.
I am too tall for ethnic wear. I am 5’8 and slim, what
could be worn in this case?
Hey girl! You
should be confident while wearing ethnic wear, especially anarkalis. These have
been designed keeping in mind the long legged beauties. Choose layered one or
simple kurtis with 32 kalis. The flares should star from the waist to
accentuate the slim body in the right way. You may go for jacket style shirts
as they would make you look a bit more voluminous.
